With the significant rise of China as an alternate center of power on the global stage, The world once again is seem to be moving towards the path of multipolarity. For over two decades of monopoly as the single power house of the global economy, trade and military, United States is now getting realistic with rapidly changing global order. From the NATO to Warsaw as a instrument of coalition balancing during the US-USSR cold war to emerging QUAD and Malabar in the 21st century, highlights the strategic & geopolitical significance of the Indo-Pacific & South Asian region. With border tensions in Himalayas to skirmishes with Taiwan, to the proposal of Chinese Silk route in the name of one belt one road initiative has brought the region and the west to rethink there Asia Pacific policy to move centralized Indo-Pacific policy as a mean to counter China with utilizing the growing influence of India and like minded countries in the region.
The Centre for Indo Pacific & South Asian Studies at PCRI, comprehends the crucial role of Indo Pacific in analyzing the confluence, interdependence and importance of the Indian Ocean waters by closely monitoring the rising stakes of India and the West.
Centre for Indo Pacific and South Asia studies at PCRI is further involved in evidence based research of security aspects of Indo Pacific and South Asian region with collaboration of numerous Universities and Academia situated in the region.
